Our lives are as cyclical as Nature's dances: days follow nights, light follows darkness. and seasons return. Chefs have long recognised that there are fads or vogues in menu design. All at once there are imitators, and a trend is born.
The popularity of food moves in cycles, or at least progresses in waves, much the same way as a fashion evolves through history. To celebrate this marriage between food and fashion in association with the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Grossi Florentino will host a dinner called ‘Dress the Plate', a nostalgic look at food and restaurant fashion over the past decades. Leading Australian Chef Guy Grossi, this year's LMFF Fashion Chef Ambassador, will design a four course menu that includes a dish with a futuristic outlook, all beautifully matched with wines.
Rick Molinksy will be Master of Ceremonies.
Guests will have the chance to re-visit fashion with creative involvement from Leona Edmiston and Ted Baker.
Go back in time and be swept away in the moment.
