iSpyStyle Fashion Workshop is about being inspired, informed and connected. Join a group of industry panel experts who will share their knowledge and experiences, get realistic tips, advice and guidance about a career in fashion and learn how to network in an industry where its all about who you know.

LMFF Cultural Program and Ethical Clothing Australia present ‘Growing Ethical Fashion’

 Wednesday 17 March, 6pm-8pm

Consumer awareness and concern with sustainability and ethical production is Increasing. According to Mobium Group (2008), the consumer market for natural, healthy and sustainable products and services in Australia is expected to reach $22 billion by 2010. But what is an ethical fashion garment and how do consumers and fashions houses ensure that the products they are making or purchasing have minimal impact on the earth and its people?

The presenters will offer practical advice and resources for fashion designers wanting to tap into the growing ‘ethical’ market and also help consumers navigate their way through the sea of sustainable products on the market.

LMFF Cultural Program and I SPY 2 present ‘I Spy The Start of Something’

Wednesday March 17 at 6pm.

Get behind the work of leading fashion creatives and discover the inspiration at the heart of their forward-thinking designs in this L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival forum. Presented by Chimere Cisse and Simon Winkler, the curators behind the fashion photography exhibition series, I SPY. Come hear how the I SPY series was created and the inspirations behind the images that make up the second in the tri-annual series.

Each of the exhibitions images offer an insight into the ideas, colours and compositions that inspire the work of contemporary designers Yeojin Bae (Yeojin Bae), Dhini Pararajasingham (Dhini), Monika Tywanek (TV), Kate Rodgers (Dazed & Confused/Conde Nast) and Karla Way (Karla Way). This public talk allows even greater access to the creative process involved in these designers' work, discussing their original designs from conceptualisation to realisation.
