Thurley

Thurley

Helen O‘Connor returned from studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York to launch the Thurley label in 2005. The labels debut collection was shown on-schedule at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Week, Winter 2006, where it received a thoroughly celebrated welcome and positive reviews. Just two short years later, in 2008, Thurley was short-listed for the prestigious LMFF Designer Award, by Woolmark. Each season, Thurley’s luxurious collections eschew trends by creating timeless pieces that are both modern and classic. Techniques such as tailoring and fluid draping utilise rare materials and unusual fabrications to create delicate womenswear pieces that have built an international following of women who value the considered nature of their clothes. Late 2010 saw the launch of a retail rollout for Thurley, now with three stand-alone stores in Melbourne and one in Sydney, with further stores planned for  2011.
