The 2012 L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival National Designer Award supported by Tifanny & Co and The Weekend Australian Magazine is Australia’s most prestigious fashion award fostering excellence in the fashion industry. The Festival is a champion of emerging Australian design talent and this esteemed annual National Designer Award is testament to this.
Celebrating its 16th year, the Award encourages excellence within the Australian fashion industry, acknowledging designers in their first five years of business who excel in creative design, fashion innovation, high quality manufacturing standards, unique style and the potential to contribute to the future growth of the Australian fashion industry.
Past winners of the Award include Toni Maticevski, Josh Goot, Yeojin Bae, Romance Was Born, Dion Lee and in 2011, Song for the Mute.
The winner of the 2012 LMFF Designer Award will receive:
Total prize value exceeds $75,000 in direct value to the winning designer label.
Applications close February 9. The winner will be announced on March 9 at an invitation only event during LMFF 2012.
