Describe the first thing you ever designed?

I really remember from when I was very young spending DAYS making these amazing Christmas cards with glitter and noodles and Easter egg wrappers stuck on them... But on a slightly more related note... Doonas for my barbie... And knitting squares to make into a rug... I recently found the "squares" at my mums house and they are definitely rectangles, not squares at all, and they never made it into rug formation! The first thing I designed when I started Obus was a big cocoon shaped skirt that I first made out of paper wrapped around a mannequin.

Describe your personal style in a sentence?

I LOVE to dress up and be fancy... But on an everyday level I really like to wear pieces that are simple and comfortable!

What's your favourite piece from your current collection and why?

I love the Sylvia dress. It has a lot of draping and can be worn in different ways. I've worn the sample a few times ... It felt SO elegant but still very easy to wear... and was also great for dancing!

Who is your favourite Australian model?

Mmmm... There are so many great Aussie models out there... I have enjoyed working with many of them so I don't think I could chose just one!

Whose personal style do you admire and why?

My friend Kathryn from House of Baulch always looks amazing... She is one spunky lady who is not afraid to stand out.

What is your favourite city in the world?

Melbourne is amazing... That's why I live here! Next two on the list are NYC and Tokyo.

What is your favourite boutique in your hometown?

Well of course I love the two Obus boutiques... And really that's probably the best answer I can give as I am so busy at Obus I don't make it out shopping very often!!!
